College Tech Prep Software Program Design
Instructor: Ms. Abell
CTP Software Program Design is a two-year program for students interested in computer programming and information technology careers. The program is designed for students who have a desire to continue their education at the post-secondary level or enter the workforce in an entry level position. This program is designed to train students for the expected 50,000 information technology jobs in Ohio through the year 2016.

The program is part of the Clark State Tech Prep Consortium which enables students to start earning 30+ free college credits (tuition savings of over $2500) while in high school. There is also a Tech Prep Scholarship available for our students. During the two-year program, students can earn Adobe Certified Associate and Microsoft Application Specialist Certifications. After high school, students will have a seamless transition to Clark State to continue earning credit towards their associate and/or bachelor’s degree. The program is designed so students can continue their college preparatory academics.

Training in the areas of software programming and analysis will enable the student to design, develop, test, document, implement and maintain software applications.

Essential skill areas include: Programming Analysis,  Software Design, Application/Operating System
Programming,
Graphical User Interfaces (GUI), Web Design Utilization, Computer Application
Development and Implementation,
Computer System Architecture.
